Film Florida TV is an OTT streaming platform that spotlights Florida-based projects from filmmakers across the state. Film Florida TV is free for viewers and boasts close to 200 hours of content. Film Florida members have the exclusive opportunity to submit their Florida-based projects to the platform.
“The way films are seen by viewers is rapidly changing,” says Matt Wohl, President of Film Florida. “Distribution can be the biggest hurdle when getting your project in front of your intended audience. Whether you’re pursuing distribution or want to share your work, Film Florida TV helps connect your film with viewers.”
The platform launched in March 2026 with the Film Florida TV Student Film Competition, where students were given 10 days to make a Florida-themed short film. The eligible films were the first to be featured on the platform. In addition to nurturing young filmmakers, Film Florida hopes to bring visibility to projects without distribution deals.
“Our goal is to highlight Florida’s unique stories and provide a place for talented filmmakers to showcase their work,” says John Lux, Executive Director of Film Florida.
Film Florida TV hosts curated content from feature length films and shorts to podcast episodes and educational TV. To watch Film Florida TV, visit filmflorida.vhx.tv/ or download from iOS, Roku, Google or Amazon.
