The Administrative Assistant is a part time virtual/remote contract position to Film Florida and will be supervised by the Executive Director and will work with the Executive Board and full Board of Directors of Film Florida. The Administrative Assistant will perform various tasks as assigned by the Executive Director. While the position is remote, the desire is to fill the role with a Florida resident.

Specific Duties:

  • Data organization and transcribing meeting minutes
  • Film Florida Friday guest wrangling & Podcast research pre-questions
  • Social media content creation & article collection
  • Email blast & Newsletter prep
  • Website updates
  • Membership renewal invoice prep
  • Assist in coordination of Film Florida Quarterly Meetings, Sales Missions, Special Events, etc. and participation at certain Film Florida events
  • Schedule legislative meetings

The Administrative Assistant may occasionally be called upon to provide their talents and abilities to solve specific problems or to address specific questions outside their job description. These may be related to either a specific committee mission or in support of an organizational goal. As such, the Administrative Assistant may be asked to participate in a variety of ad-hoc assignments and is expected to be flexible in their work practices and supportive of the Board of Directors.

Knowledge, skills and abilities, including utilization of equipment, required for the position:

  • Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and be detail oriented.
  • Experience using WordPress.
  • Experience with graphic design and creating marketing campaigns.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Proficiency in utilization of computer using Word®, Excel®, PowerPoint®.
  • Ability to produce professional level written work products.
  • Ability to establish and effective working relationships with others.
  • Ability to manage priorities and meet established deadlines.

The scope of work is for ten (10) to fifteen (15) hours of work per week in exchange for a retainer fee of $250.00 per week. No work will be done during select holiday weeks. Travel to various meetings and events, if required by Film Florida, will be covered separately to include air, mileage, hotel, and meal allowance for meeting/event expenses.
