LED Volume Screen Tech
Responsibilities: The role of LED Volume Screen Tech will be able to program, operate and trouble-shoot the computer systems that form the LED Volume / VFX Production systems in use for broadcast, commercial and film projects in the studio. The Screen Tech will be a critical team member of the VAD (Virtual Art Department) to execute Extended Reality (XR), AR and VR / 3D Animation Environments. This is a direct hire position.

LED Volume Screen Tech requirements:

  • Candidate must have 2+ years working with current versions Unreal Engine software and associated computer hardware implementations
  • Experience with VFX, Motion Graphics hardware and software.
  • Ability to configure CPU cores and GPU’s. (EX: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090)
  • Proficiency in the configuration and operation of video processors for LED
  • Panels (EX: NVIDIA RTX A6000 Graphics Cards or whatever is current descendant)
  • Must be proficient in Unreal Engine, Resolume, Maya (implementations)
  • Must be willing to learn and state current with on going software and hardware developments in the LED Volume / Virtual Set Production and VFX categories to assist the company in staying current, competitive in those areas.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours and schedules to execute projects on tight deadlines.

Pay: $50,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year

Studio Editor
Job Summary: The Studio Editor will be expected to take raw footage from the narration, interviews, reenactments, and stock footage and edit them into a compelling story. In addition, the Studio Editor may be called on to help ideate in the pro-production stage of a program to help develop and execute vision for a particular segment or show. Using computer technology, TV Editors mix video footage with music, sound effects, audio, and special effects. The Studio Editor organizes and creates video projects which follow a script, story, or concept, and further evolves those assets to engage, entertain, or inform viewership. They are responsible for most of the post-production process and their editorial decisions determine how the story is told, ultimately molding the audience’s experience.

Editors require creativity, possess organizational skills and the ability to work well with others. The Studio Editor must be computer-savvy and have extensive knowledge of video editing software. Moreover, he/she must be able to adapt to rapidly changing technology. Successful editors also need a vivid imagination, artistic eye, and creative mindset. Oftentimes raw footage is of poor quality but necessary to the final product and a successful editor must be resourceful enough to rescue it. A solid understanding of storytelling techniques and the ability to work well under deadlines are also necessities.

Editor Responsibilities:

  • Organize, log and sync video footage.
  • Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of film.
  • Input music, mix audio and dialogue
  • Integrate graphics, animation, and video effects with an eye for good design.
  • Ensure artistic, logical sequencing with good storytelling abilities.
  • Perform color correction and other image enhancements.
  • Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry best practices to maximize efficiency.
  • Keep up to date on all BrandStar used hardware and software toolsets. Studio Editor Requirements:
  • 5 to 7 plus years of proven work experience in Broadcast video editing.
  • Experience using Network Protocols a plus.
  • Out of the gate ability and experience with Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Must be an exceptional project manager.
  • Effective communicator organized and detail oriented.
  • Highly collaborative and adaptable.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.

Junior Studio Editor
Job Summary: The Junior Editor will be expected to take raw footage, interviews, narration, reenactments, and stock footage and prepare them for Editorial. Using BrandStar’s Editorial Systems, the Junior Editor will be expected to input, transcode, and prepare all assets needed for a wide range of editorial projects, from Broadcast to Digital platforms.

Editors require creativity, the ability to work well with others and organizational skills. The Junior Editor must aspire to this role; be computer-savvy and have current knowledge of video editing software. Moreover, he/she must be able to adapt to rapidly changing technology. Successful TV editors also need a vivid imagination, artistic eye, and creative mindset. Oftentimes raw footage is of poor quality but necessary to the final product and a successful Junior Editor must be resourceful and be committed to learning the techniques of an Editor with a desire to understand and learn good storytelling techniques. Must possess good communication skills and the ability to work well under deadlines.

Junior Editor Responsibilities:

  • Organize, log and sync video footage, and edit.
  • Be able to edit Digital Shorts, social platform videos, from concept to delivery.
  • Trim footage segments and put together sequences for Broadcast show editorial.
  • Input music, audio tracks, dialogue, graphics.
  • Will be mentored by more senior Editors in the use of editing technologies and industry best practices.
  • Help maintain systems, software and become proficient on BrandStar hardware and software toolsets.

Junior Editor Requirements:

  • Proven work experience in video editing
  • 3 to 5 Years of experience with Broadcast and Digital platform video formats.
  • Knowledge of and experience using Adobe Premiere, PC and Apple software.
  • Effective communicator; organized and detail oriented.
  • Collaborative and adaptable.
  • Commitment to learn the art and technique of Broadcast and digital video editorial processes
  • Have as a goal to grow into the role of a completer Video Editor.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
